Snorkeling Misool to Halmahera!

Both Halmahera and Raja Ampat are breathtakingly scenic islands that offer a dreamy backdrop to the unspoiled underwater wilderness. Shallow, pristine marine habitats around these two equatorial regions contain over 600 species of corals (nearly 75% of all known species of reef-building corals) and more than 1500 species of tropical marine fish (about half of all known tropical marine fish), making this a do-not-miss destination for any snorkeler and marine enthusiast! Join our small group of adventurous snorkelers on board our luxurious 5-star motor yacht for this incredible journey to the world’s epicenter for marine biodiversity!

Itinerary

Each departure is unique and hand-crafted to expose you to a diversity of marine habitats and the incredible snorkeling sites that can be found there. Our snorkeling adventures begin in Misool, the second largest island in the Raja Ampat archipelago. Multiple habitats around each of the picturesque island groups promote the growth of shallow, vibrant, and diverse coral reef communities. From Misool we head west to visit some of the remote islands and immaculate reefs along the southwest coast of Halmahera. Bacan Island, Makian Island, Goraici Islands, Tidore and Jailolo, one of the oldest marine protected areas in Indonesia are all on the itinerary.

The usual disclaimer about weather and tides affecting the itinerary are only a bonus for us, since we use them to ensure we visit each site at the best times possible! Our snorkeling tour begins and ends in Jakarta, Indonesia, with two one-way internal flights (Jakarta – Sorong; Ternate – Jakarta).
