Sulawesi is nearly centered within the famed coral triangle and possesses some of the richest and diverse reefs on the planet. While there are several world-class snorkeling destinations around Indonesia’s fourth largest island, few showcase the diversity of rare and unusual marine life better than North Sulawesi. Join our small group of adventurous snorkelers at our luxurious, award-winning resorts for this incredible journey to the world’s epicenter for marine biodiversity!
Itinerary
Each departure is unique and hand-crafted to expose you to a diversity of marine habitats and the incredible snorkeling sites that can be found there. Lembeh is known as the ‘critter capital of the world’. Snorkelers will especially love this area for the combination of black sand and colorful coral that makes for the ultimate ‘critter-hunt’. We move north to Bangka Island where converging oceanic currents support shallow, vibrant reefs comprised of soft and hard corals. Bunaken National Park is the flagship marine reserve in Indonesia. Extensive fringing reefs slope sharply into clear, blue water. And with over 30 years of protection, sightings of sharks and turtles are common.
The usual disclaimer about weather and tides affecting the itinerary are only a bonus for us, since we use them to ensure we visit each site at the best times possible! Our snorkeling tour begins and ends in Bali, Indonesia, with one internal, round-trip flight (Bali – Manado).

180 – 91 days prior to departure: 50% of trip cost

- Accommodations throughout tour dates
- All meals on days 2 through 14 (dinner on day 1 – breakfast on day 15)
- All internal transfers including international arrival and departure transfers

- Additional hotel accommodations and meals as a result of travel outside of the program dates

Accommodations
We begin the design of our snorkeling-trips-of-a-lifetime around luxurious live-aboard motor yachts and stunning, spacious resorts, both offering the highest levels of service. For this departure to North Sulawesi we use Murex Resorts and Lembeh Resort. The hotel/resort we use in Bali is the Nusa Dua.
What to Expect
North Sulawesi is located just a couple of degrees above the Equator and enjoys a tropical climate with temperatures that hover around 85º F (29º C) during the daytime and fall slightly at night. Afternoon and early morning showers are common, but the sun generally shines throughout the day creating a perfect environment for swimming in the clear, blue seas.
